The 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards Review

Sunday January 11th was the date of the 66th annual Golden Globe Awards. Held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel-the stars of Hollywood were definitely dressed to impress. "Slumdog Millionaire" and Kate Winslet cleaned house, where "Slumdog Millionaire" won in EVERY category they were nominated for [Best Motion Picture-Drama, Best Director-Motion Picture, Best Screenplay-Motion Picture, and Best Original Score-Motion Picture] and Winslet taking home the Golden Globe for not only the Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture-Drama, but for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture...way to go Kate!! It was certainly no surprise that the Late Heath Ledger took home the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for his portrayal of the gothic villain-the Joker in "The Dark Knight"-the Golden Globe will be presented to his daughter Matilda. The biggest shocker of the night had to have been Mickey Rourkes victory for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture-Drama for "The Wrestler". "30 Rock" & "John Adams" dominated the television categories, where "30 Rock" walked away with 3 Golden Globes and "John Adams" with 4. Steven Spielberg walked away with the "Cecil B. DeMille Award" for his long time contribution to Hollywood cinema. The following are other winners of the night:
